JetZero: Groundbreaking ‘blended-wing’ demonstrator plane cleared to fly

(CNN)– There could soon be a new kind of plane in the sky.

The Federal Aviation Administration has granted an airworthiness certificate to JetZero’s new commercial aircraft.

Test flights are set to happen soon. Unlike current commercial aircrafts, the pathfinder has a “blended wing body”.

It looks similar to the military’s B2 Bomber but has more volume in the middle section.

JetZero says the pathfinder’s can deliver 50% lower fuel burn and emissions.

The company aims to have it in service by 2030.
