Officers investigating shooting after finding man with life-threatening injuries

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– The Columbia Police Department is investigating a shooting that happened at 180 Greystone Blvd, say CPD.

Officers say they responded to the scene around 3 p.m. and found a man with life-threatening injuries.

Also, officers say a male suspect drove away from the scene and took officers on a police chase through downtown.

The man was followed in his vehicle to the 2200 block of Shady Lane where he crashed in the backyard of a home.

He was arrested at the scene and multiple charges are pending. The man is accused of hitting multiple cars during the police chase.
