Councilwomen organizing town halls to discuss Lower Richland drop-off site
RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– County Councilwomen Cheryl English (District 10) and Chakisse Newton (District 11) will co-host a pair of town hall meetings later this month to discuss recent developments to improve safety and decrease traffic congestion at the Lower Richland Drop-Off Center, say officials.
At the meetings Lower Richland community residents will be able to ask questions and share ideas on changes made about the site, as well as options for potential relocation which the county says it is currently exploring.
The District 10 and 11 town halls will take place from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.:
- Monday, April 22, at the Garners Ferry Adult Activity Center, 8620 Garners Ferry Road, Hopkins, S.C.
- Thursday, April 25, at the Hopkins Park Adult Activity Center, 144 Hopkins Park Road, Hopkins, S.C.
