Orangeburg County firefighters got Monday vehicle fire under control

 

 

ORANGEBURG, S.C. (WOLO)– Orangeburg County firefighters responded to a vehicle on fire on Monday afternoon.

The vehicle was on fire at the I-26 eastbound rest area around 12:23 p.m. on Monday, April 8.

Firefighters say smoke was so thick, it could be seen from 4 miles away coming from a plumbing repair vehicle that was fully engulfed in flames.

There were no reports of injuries and no reports of harm to the environment from fuel which went into sewers drains, that firefighters were also able to contain.
