Richland One to host annual Jazz Festival
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Richland One is hosting its annual jazz festival in the park for families and community members can enjoy listening to jazz music during National Jazz Appreciation Month.
The district is holding the festival on Friday, April 12 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Emily Douglas Park (2500 Wheat Street, Columbia, S.C.).
The event is free and open to the public. School officials say there will be food vendors at the festival.
Jazz bands from middle schools and high schools all across Richland One are scheduled to perform, as well as the middle school and high school honors jazz bands.
Along with a special performance by the Richland One Faculty Jazz Band.
If there is inclement weather, the district says the event will be held at Hand Middle School.
