Scout Motors opens Columbia Connection Center

BLYTHEWOOD, S.C. (WOLO)– Scout Motors Construction is underway in Blythewood but their temporary home is in the Bull Street District.

Today Scout Motors opened a Columbia Connection Center in the Bull Street District on the ground floor of the company’s temporary offices.

The center will inform the public about Scout’s history, vision of the future and progress on construction work.

While Scout only broke ground earlier this year, Chief Production Officer Jan Spies expects buildings to start going up on the facility over the next year.

He also addressed concerns raised by Blythewood residents at last week’s informational meeting about the future of the electric vehicle market.

Vehicle production is set to begin by the end of 2026.
