COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– A Midlands man’s list of projects to do around his house has gotten a lot smaller thanks to his lottery win.

“It’s unbelievable. It didn’t really hit me until the next day,” the winner told South Carolina Education Lottery officials.

The fact that he won did not hit him until the next day when he cashed in the top prize winning ticket that he bought for $5 at Sunny Spirits on Clemson Road in Columbia.

The winner told officials he is going to be wise and help his family and also fix up his home.

Three top prizes of $200,000 remain in the $200,000 Crossword X-tra Play game at odds of 1 in 576,000.
