USPS recommends new stamp prices for July 2024

(CNN)– The price of a postage stamp could rise again in the next few months.

The U.S. Postal Service filed a notice with the Postal Regulatory Commission on Tuesday.

It recommends raising the price of first-class mail forever stamps from 68 cents to 73 cents.

Stamp prices already increased this year in January.

If the change is approved, it would take effect on July 14.

The Postal Service also recommended price adjustments for special service products including certified mail and money order fees.

However, there will be no price increase for post office box rental fees.
