Deputies arrest West Columbia man accused of attempted murder

Korey Muller, 20, is being charged with attempted murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, according to arrest warrants.

LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Deputies with the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department have arrested a West Columbia man for attempted murder, says the department.

Korey Muller, 20, is being charged with attempted murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, according to arrest warrants.

Based on information gathered, law enforcement says Muller grabbed a gun out ofhis car and fired one shot at the victim after an argument on March 4.

The woman was not hit by the gunfire.

According to Sheriff Jay Koon, when he was arrested earlier this month he was found with more than two pounds of marijuana, meth and a loaded handgun.

He is being held at the Lexington County Detention Center.
