SCHP searches for driver involved in deadly hit-and-run

COLLETON COUNTY, SC (WOLO) — The South Carolina Highway Patrol is hoping someone may recognize a car they say was involved in a deadly hit and run earlier this month.

According to authorities, the collision took place around 3pm April, 3, 2024 along SC 64 /Bells Highway in the Town of Lodge, Colleton County, South Carolina. Troopers say the car you see in the image above hit a bicyclists that was riding in the roadway and left the scene of the accident.

The car has been described as a dark colored 2014-2020 Nissan Rouge. Officials say the vehicle should also have damage to the front right and passenger side mirrors. SCHP says the car was last seen heading west on SC 64.
