Children’s ‘Yoto Mini’ speaker recalled for burn and fire hazards

(CNN)– A speaker marketed for children could pose a fire risk.

The Yoto Mini speaker is being involuntarily recalled because its lithium-ion battery can overheat.

There have been seven reports of the speaker overheating or melting.

Owners of the wireless speaker can go to the Yoto Mini website for instructions on how to receive a new charging cable.

Yoto says it has also implemented an automatic software update to improve battery management.
