DOJ to file anti-trust suit against Live Nation

(CNN)– The Justice Department is planning to file an anti-trust lawsuit against Live Nation.

That’s according to the Wall Street Journal, citing people familiar with the matter.

Live nation which is the parent company of Ticketmaster has faced issued in the past over its dominance in the ticketing industry.

Critics suggest it is only able to raise ticket prices because of a lack of competition.

But Live nation claims prices are determined by the artists’ teams and venues, as well as supply and demand.
