COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– After an exciting season and an amazing WNBA Draft Day some Gamecocks have been living it up in New York.
On Tuesday, South Carolina women’s basketball coach Dawn Staley and recently drafted Chicago Sky forward Kamilla Cardoso were in the Big Apple still celebrating.
Staley and Cardoso were welcomed and recognized for the Gamecocks 2024 NCAA National Championship in Lower Manhattan at the New York Stock Exchange.
They to enjoy the moment of the opening bell. Cardoso was selected as the No. 3 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft by the Chicago Sky.
