City of Columbia hosts youth session to prevent crime
Columbia, SC (WOLO) — As part of the the City of Columbia Office of violent crime prevention a youth session took place Tuesday night as a part of the the R.I.C.H. Program which hosted the ‘X Factor.
A session where teens interact with each other to discuss their emotions and triggers of “real” life situations.
The event also included a discussion about the impacts of video games and social media between youth and adults.
Growth Coach Welvin Simpkins also spoke to the teens.
Tuesday night’s event was part of Youth Violence Prevention Week.
Wednesday night is Game Night at 5:30pm at Hyatt Park.
