Lexington County man charged with criminal sexual conduct with a minor

LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– A Lexington County man has been arrested and charged in connection with criminal sexual conduct with a minor on Thursday, April 11, said SLED.

Johnathan Belt, 32, is accused of committing a lewd act with a child under the age of 16.

SLED agents said the child told someone about the incident which resulted in a report being made.

The child also disclosed the information in a SLED forensic interview.

Belt was booked at the Lexington County Detention Center and the case will be prosecuted by the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office.
