ORANGEBURG, S.C. (WOLO)– Orangeburg County deputies say a  wanted in a fatal February shooting in Holly Hill has been arrested.

Sheriff Leroy Ravenell says that 19-year-old Demetrius Dickerson of Ridgeville was taken into custody in Dorchester County early Wednesday on Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office warrants.

The 19-year-old is charged with murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a crime.

“This has been an extensive investigation that has resulted in the arrest of our shooting suspect,” says Sheriff Ravenell.

Dickerson is expected to make a court appearance this week where he will be formally presented his rights.
