Baseball team honoring 10-year-old who was killed in an ATV accident with special fundraiser

LEXINGTON, S.C. (WOLO)– To honor a Lexington child who was killed in an ATV accident on Saturday his baseball team is hosting a special fundraiser.

The fundraiser is called Bases for Mason and is to honor 10-year-old Mason Smith.

The Lexington Longhorns 9-U travel team which is apart of the U.S. Specialty Sports Association is pledging $1 for every man who gets on base this weekend in their tournaments for the Mason Foundation.

They’ll also promote a GoFundMe page that’s already raised at close to $67,000 that goes towards establishing the Mason Foundation.
