New wastewater treatment plant in Saluda County

 

SALUDA COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– A more than 40 million dollar project mostly funded by the USDA aims to transform one of South Carolina’s underserved areas.

Today, Saluda County Water and Sewer Authority celebrated the groundbreaking for a new wastewater treatment plant.

This project aims to provide cleaner water and reliable sewer systems.

Currently, Saluda County lacks the infrastructure for its nearly 20 thousand residents.

The wastewater treatment plant will take anywhere from 16 months to 2 years to complete.
