Coroner identifies body found near Leesburg, Garners Ferry Roads

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Columbia Police officers are investigating after finding a body near Leesburg and Garners Ferry Roads Monday morning, say officers.

The Columbia Police Department says there is no obvious sign of foul play.

Richland County Coroner Naida Rutherford says the victim is identified as Philip A. Edelmayer, 25, of Columbia.

Both the coroner’s office and the police department is working together to investigate.
