COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– A section of the Hardscrabble Road Project is now fully open from Marchbank Parkway to Kelly Mill Road, says SCDOT.
The South Carolina Department of Transportation says the improvements to the section include a new widened four-lane roadway with a two-way turn lane, new drainage under the roadway and a safe, smooth driving surface.
Also, new traffic signals were installed at the intersections at Lake Carolina and Kelly Mill Road.
SCDOT says crews are on track to complete the project by Spring of 2025.
Drivers are encouraged to drive slow and pat attention when in the working zones in the area.
