FCC votes to bring back net neutrality rules
(CNN)– An FCC vote on Thursday while affects the internet speed of multiple people. It’s to re-instate net neutrality.
Net neutrality means internet provides won’t be able to speed up or slow down certain internet traffic.
New FCC rules ban blocking, throttling or disadvantaging certain content, apps or services.
They also bar prioritizing them in return for payment.
An FCC vote under the Obama Administration is what first put net neutrality in play.
It’s been gone since 2018 due to a later FCC decision under the trump administration.
