Taylor Swift’s ‘TTPD’ breaks Spotify streaming record

(CNN)– It hasn’t been a full week since Taylor Swift released “The Tourtured Poets Department” but it’s already reached one billion streams in Spotify.

According to the digital music service, this is the first album to do that. And that’s not the only record the singer-songwriter has broken on Spotify.

“The Tourtured Poet’s Department” is now the platform’s most streamed album in a single day with 300 million.

In order to break the record, Swift surpassed two of her own albums, “Midnights” and “1989 (Taylor’s Version)”.
