1 killed following early morning Thursday house fire

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Columbia-Richland Firefighters say one person was killed in a house fire on Thursday.

The April 25, fire happened at a duplex on Dunmore Court off of St. Andrews Road where they found the victim’s body inside around 2 a.m.

Investigators say one firefighter suffered a minor injury and the tenants who lived on the other side of the duplex were able to get safely.

Irmo Firefighters helped extinguish the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
