Man wanted on multiple drug charges arrested during traffic stop

Irmo, SC (WOLO) —  Narcotics agents with the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department have arrested a man they say was wanted for multiple drug charges. Authorities say 34 year old Stewart Jamaul Stroman was pulled over Wednesday for a traffic stop along Interstate 20 near exit 55.

Authorities say once Stroman confirmed his identity deputies realized he was the individual wanted  for drug charges and was arrested along the side of the highway. After detaining him deputies conducted a probable cause search of his car and say the more than 1,000 grams of meth they say carries a street value of an estimated $6,000 dollars.

According to arrest warrants, Stroman is charged with multiple counts of trafficking more than 400 grams of meth,  trafficking fentanyl, and criminal conspiracy in addition to other drug charges.

Stroman is being held at the Lexington County Detention Center after a magistrate judge denied granting him bond.
