USC QB Spencer Rattler Drafted by Saints

After two seasons at South Carolina, quarterback Spencer Rattler was drafted 150th overall in the fifth round by the New Orleans Saints.

In just two years as a Gamecock, Rattler tossed for 6,212 yards, which is fifth all-time in Carolina history. Rattler also ranks first all-time in career completion percentage (.675) at South Carolina.

Rattler made history becoming the first quarterback drafted in 34 years, and the fifth USC signal caller in program history to be drafted to the National Football League.

On Saturday, Rattler joined former teammate, now Carolina Panther wide receiver, Xavier Legette to be taken in this year’s NFL Draft.
