Attorneys for teacher killed after being hit by rotted utility pole last year files offer of judgement

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Attorneys for the family of a teacher who was killed after she was struck by a rotted utility pole last year have filed offers of judgement against Dominion Energy and Comporium.

The family of Jeunelle Robinson, a teacher at Wagener-Salley High School filed the lawsuit last month.

Robinson was killed after they say she was walking along Main Street when a truck hit several low hanging utility lines, pulling 8 poles from the ground.

One of the poles ended up hitting Robinson. She later died from her injuries.

Attorneys say they offers of judgement provide an insurance policy to prevent Dominion and Comporium from dragging out the proceedings.
