2 teens facing charges after video of possum being set on fire circulates online, says sheriff

CLARENDON COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Two teenage boys are facing charges after a video of a possum being set on fire circulates online, says the sheriff’s office.

According to Clarendon County Sheriff’s Office Sheriff Baxley, the sheriff’s office contacted the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR) Law Enforcement about the video and learned that SCDNR is already investigating.

Sheriff Baxley says the teens have already been identified, located and interviewed for the act.

Currently the teens charges are pending.
