Bumble will no longer require women make 1st move

(CNN)– Anyone can now make the first move on Bumble.

The dating app is rolling out a new feature called “opening moves” that lets female users set a prompt.

Then male suitors can respond to initiate conversation.

This reverses the app’s long-standing requirement that women send the first message to their matches.

The new feature is part of a larger relaunch of Bumble.

It also includes updated “dating intentions” that allows users to indicate what they’re looking for in March whether it’s a life partner or a casual date.
