Senior Day celebrates South Carolina seniors at S.C. Fairgrounds

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– The South Carolina Department of Aging held it’s annual Senior Day event early Wednesday at the SC State Fairgrounds.

It was all in celebration of ‘Older Americans Month!’.

We spoke with officials who say it’s important for seniors across the Midlands to take part in events like this.

This year’s theme was “Powered by Connection”.

Which organizers say offered an opportunity to explore a wide range of aging experiences and to promote the importance of enjoying independence.
