Man sentenced for obstructing justice in the murder of transgender woman

 

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– A South Carolina man was sentenced for obstruction an investigation into the murder of a transgender woman back in 2019.

24-year-old Xavier Pinckney was sentenced to 45 months in prison after pleading guilty last year for providing false and misleading information to investigators in the case of Dime Doe.

Pinckney’s accomplice, Daqua Ritter was previously convicted of a hate crime in connection to Dime Doe’s murder.
