COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– If you have phone chances are you’ve had a scammer slide into your texts or dial you up with some wild claim.
It’s an old trick, yet people continue to fall victim everyday.
And with new advancement in the digital world scammers are becoming more clever.
According to the Better Business Bureau con artists are sending out their own texts, posing as organizations you know and in many cases trust.
Chris Hadley with the BBB says text and call scammers are after passwords, accounts numbers, and social security numbers.
