COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)–In today’s look at Local Living, the 8th annual Art on State is back this Friday from 5:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. on State Street.
The event features live music, vendors, and food from local restaurants.
There will also be live mural art and specials from nearby businesses. Admission is free.
Get ready for one wild 5k at Riverbanks Zoo and Garden. The Riverbanks Run starts Saturday, May 11, at 7:15 a.m.
You can also go through the park’s scenic back roads, cross the Saluda River, and pass some of the most popular exhibits in the zoo.
It’s all to benefit the zoo’s wildlife conservation efforts. It’s $40 for Riverbanks members and $50 for the public. Registration ends this Friday.
The Central Carolina Community Foundation’s 10th annual ‘Midlands Gives’ starts on Tuesday morning at 6 a.m.
Hundreds of local non-profits organizations will be participating.
Officials say since its inception in 2014, the event has raised $24 million for local nonprofits.
The early giving period is still open. You can visit Midlands Gives’ website to donate.
