Lexington County coroner identifies person dead after early morning collision

LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– The Lexington County coroner has identified the person who died during an early morning vehicle vs. pedestrian collision, says the coroner’s office.

The collision happened on Wednesday, May 8, around 4:24 a.m. on Frontage Road near Commerce Drive along the 113 westbound exit ramp in the Cayce area of Lexington County.

Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher says Curt Alan Davis, 49, of Cayce was crossing Frontage Road on the 113 westbound exit ramp when he was hit by a vehicle.

Davis was pronounced dead at scene due to the injuries he received during the collision.

The Lexington County Coroner’s Office and the City of Cayce Police Department are continuing to investigate the incident.
