Local Living: Art on State, Riverbanks 5K Run, Bassmaster Elite Series Expo

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)–In today’s look at Local Living, the 8th annual Art on State is back on Friday, May 10 from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on State Street.

The event features live music, vendors and food from local restaurants. There will also be live mural art and specials from nearby businesses. Admission is free.

Get ready for one wild 5K at Riverbanks Zoo and Garden. The Riverbanks Run starts Saturday, May 11, at 7:15 a.m.

You can go through the park’s scenic back roads, cross the Saluda River and pass some of the most popular exhibits in the zoo.

It’s all to benefit the zoo’s wildlife conservation efforts. It’s $40 for Riverbanks members and $50 for the public.

Registration ends this Friday.

The Bassmaster Elite Series Expo kicks off this weekend at Dreher Island State Park.

From 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. this Saturday and Sunday, you and your family can enjoy plenty of food, exhibits and much more.

Cody Webb’s concert starts at 1 p.m. on Saturday. There will also be live weigh-ins for the Minn Kota Bassmaster Elite Series.

It’s free to attend but you do have to pay for parking.
