Columbia VA Health Care System to hold 14th annual VA2K Walk & Roll

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– The Columbia VA Health Care System is hosting its 14th annual VA2K Walk & Roll on Friday.

VA officials say the 2K will be hosted at four locations, Dorn VAMC, Sumter VA Clinic, Orangeburg VA Clinic, and Anderson VA Clinic on Friday, May 17.

The Dorn VAMC’s walk will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the walking track across from building 106 on the Dorn VAMC campus.

The Anderson VA2K will take place from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the Anderson VA Clinic, and both the Orangeburg and Sumter 2Ks will run from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

This year’s walk supports the Whole Health Movement & Homeless Veterans.

The VA will be collecting donations for homeless Veterans during the walk.

Anyone interested in giving a donation can check the list of suggested donations below:

· Men’s boxers of ALL sizes

· Regular T-shirts for men in ALL sizes (NOT undershirts)

· Men’s shorts in ALL sizes

· Lightweight jackets of ALL sizes

· Queen size sheet sets

· Queen size Blanket

· Standard Size Pillows

· Flatware sets

· Towels (Bath, Hand and Wash)

· Mops and Mop Buckets

· Cleaning Supplies

· Detergent

· Brooms

· Dust Pans

· Garbage containers (13 gallon)

· 13 Gal. Garbage Bags

· Toilet Brush w/Caddy

· Dish Drying Rack Sets

· Sponges w/scrub side

· Toasters

· 8-12 Cup Coffee Maker
