City of Columbia asking for residents input for Parks & Recreation Master Plan
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– The City of Columbia’s Parks & Recreation Department is asking for members of the community to help evaluate parks and recreation programs within the city.
City officials say the results will be used to develop a Parks & Recreation Master Plan for its park facilities, recreation programs, greenways and services.
A series of community meetings will be held in May at recreation facilities located in City Council Districts 1, 2, 3 and 4.
The City has engaged the services of Weston & Sampson, a multi-disciplinary planning and design firm to help develop the Master Plan.
