Grocery prices are going down

(CNN)– A trip to the grocery store was a little less expensive last month.

Today, the Bureau of Labor Statistics released inflation data showing the grocery prices fell .2% from March to April.

The drop comes after years of price increases followed by months of prices remaining flat.

But while the slight dip is a welcome relief, grocery prices are still higher than they were a year ago.

Since last April, they’ve risen 1.1% overall.
