Lanes reopen after collision involving martial arts bus, LPD patrol vehicle at Sunset Blvd intersection

LEXINGTON, S.C. (WOLO)– Lexington Police say all lanes of the 5300 block of Sunset Blvd./US-378 have reopened and the bus and LPD patrol vehicle have been removed from the roadway.
The bus driver and the children on the bus were not injured.
Officers say all of the children have been released to their guardians or returned back to the after school program center.
The officer involved in the collision was taken by EMS to a local hospital to be checked out.

LEXINGTON, S.C. (WOLO)– Lexington Police say a collision a Legacy Martial Arts bus and a LPD patrol vehicle at the intersection of Sunset Blvd./US-378 at Palmetto Park Blvd. has inbound lanes closed.
Traffic is being detoured in the Hobby Lobby parking lot to Saluda Springs Road.
Officers say there were eight students on the bus who appeared to be uninjured and they are being released to theirs at Prisma Health in the nearby parking lot.
Lexington Police Department officers say to expect congestion and avoid the area if possible.
