Kenmore, Frigidaire electric ranges recalled
(CNN)– More than 200 thousand Frigidaire and Kenmore electric ranges have been recalled because the heating surfaces can malfunction.
According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, the heating surface can turn on when it’s in the off position.
The units can also fail to turn off when switched off and may also heat to the wrong temperrature.
The ranges were initially recalled in 2009. Since then there have mutliple reports of fires and burn injuries.
The recall includes Frigidaire, Frigidaire Gallery, Frigidaire Professional, and Kenmore Elite Smooth Top Electric Ranges.
