Walmart’s sales surge as shoppers seek low prices

Walmart is raising its sales and profit guidance for the year after it saw a 3.8% growth in sales last quarter.

Groceries account for more than half of Walmart’s sales.

The discount chain prices food items about 25% lower than traditional supermarkets.

The largest retailer in the U.S. reportedly using its size and buying power to keep prices lower than its competitors.
