Columbia Animal Services waving the adoption fees for National Rescue Dog Day

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Today is National Rescue Dog Day which is a day to raise awareness of the countless number of amazing dogs in shelters across the country looking for their forever homes.

To celebrate, share a photo of your rescue pup on our Facebook page, sign up to volunteer at a local shelter, or adopt your own.

Here in the Midlands, Columbia Animal Services is waving the adoption fee for all dogs ready for adoption today.

The shelter is full and they need adopters to help save lives.

Anyone looking to adopt can visit the shelter at 127 Humane Lane, they’re open until 5 p.m.
