OpenAI pauses ChatGPT voice that sounds like Scarlett Johansson

(CNN)– OpenAI is putting a newly released ChatGPT voice on hold due to some backlash over its tone.

The artificial voice known as ‘Sky’ has been widely mocked for having a flirtatious tone.

Cristi’s describe the voice as being overly familiar with users, saying it sounds as if it emerged from a male developer’s fantasy.

The voice has been compared to the artificially intelligent voice assistant portrayed in the 2013 film “Her” by Actress Scarlett Johansson.

OpenAI said the voice is not derived from Johansson’s but instead is the natural specking voice of a different actress.
