Pedigree dog food recall issued

(CNN)– Pedigree is recalling hundreds of bags of dog food.

The brand’s parent company Mars Petcare issued the voluntary recall because loose metal pieces may be in the bags.

The impacts products include the 44 pound bags of Pedigree Adult Complete Nutrition Grilled Steak and Vegetable flavor dry dog food.

There have been no reports of pet injury or illness.

The bags were sold at Walmart in Arkansas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Texas.

Mars Petcare says customers should throw out the food immediately and contact them for a refund.
