Sumter Police: Collision sends vehicle into ravine

 

LEXINGTON, S.C. (WOLO)– A car was sent into a ravine after a Lexington collision on Wednesday morning, says Lexington Police.

Officers say the collision happened on Chapin Road near Waverly Court. The collision had traffic lanes closed for a time while crews worked the scene.

The driver of the vehicle was taken to a nearby hospital by EMS and will be issued citations for reckless driving and unlawful passing.

Lexington Police Department says the driver was at fault for the collision which sent the vehicle into a ravine.
