TikTok plans global layoffs amid threat of U.S. ban
(CNN)– TikTok is planning mass global layoffs within its operations and marketing workforce.
That’s according to current employees of the video sharing social media app who have been briefed on the plans.
The layoffs are expected to hit teams handling user support and communications as well as content and marketing.
The company’s current global user operations team will be dismantled.
Remaining employees will be distrusted among the company’s trust and safety, marketing, content and product teams.
The number of layoff is not clear at this time.
