COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Just like the superstition says, an itchy palm signaled a Midlands woman’s lucky day when she played the Lottery and won $30,000, said SC Lottery officials.

The woman told SC Education Lottery officials, she decided to buy a $2 ticket because her hand was itching a lot.

Unsure of how she will spend the money the winner said, “I don’t have any plans for it yet”. The winning ticket was bought at the Walmart Fuel Station at 337 Pinewood Road in Sumter.

With the last top prize of $30,000 claimed, the 20X The Cash game has ended. The Sumter player overcame odds of 1 in 720,000 to win a top prize.
