Americans feeling better about economy for first time in 4 months

(CNN)– For the first time since January, Americans are feeling better about the economy.

That’s partly die to improved perceptions of the job market.

The Consumer Confidence Index for this month climbed to a reading of 102, up from the 97.5 in April.

The improvement was broad with the survey showing improved attitudes about the economy among Americans of all age groups.

The new data comes after consumer confidence declined in each of the prior three months.
