Early primary voting begins in South Carolina
COLUMBIA. S.C. (WOLO)– Early voting for the upcoming June primaries begins today.
According to the South Carolina Election Commission, early voting centers will be open on May 28, through June 7, on Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m.
The June primary will be held on Tuesday, June 11.
Here are a few things you should know:
- Early voting for the state starts Tuesday, May 28 and ends Friday, June 7.
- Early Voting Centers are closed on the weekends and state holidays.
- The Early Voting Centers are open between 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Voters will have to present a photo ID when checking in to vote.
- Residents can to go scvotes.gov or contact your county’s voter registration office to find early voting locations.
If you are unable to make it to a voting center, you may be able to vote absentee.
Anyone voting absentee has until this Friday, May 31, at 5 p.m. to turn in the application.
