RCSD: 5-year-old dies at hospital after being found unresponsive in pool area
RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– The Richland County Sheriff’s Department says a 5-year-old is dead after being found unresponsive.
Deputies say they responded in the 100 block of Sparkleberry Lane in relation to an unresponsive child and began to assist in performing life saving measures.
The child was escorted to a hospital where the 5-year-old was later pronounced as dead.
Richland County Coroner Naida Rutherford has identified the 5-year-old who was found unresponsive in the pool area of Wildewood South Apartments as Capri Robinson.
The case is still under investigation by RCSD.
