Walgreens slashes prices on over 1500 products

(CNN)– Walgreens is slashing prices on more than 15-hundred items to lure back inflation-weary shoppers turned off by high prices.

The price cuts apply to both name brands and store brands.

Walgreens joins other big retailers like Walmart, Target, and Amazon that have also lowered prices.

This comes as consumers aren’t shopping like they used to due to high prices forcing them to look for deals and choose between wants and needs.

So retailers are now trying to rev up spending by lowering prices.

They hope that will encourage consumers to spend more freely on both essential items like food and more discretionary items like clothes and home decor.
